KeymasterHi everyone
I think I’m right on this but no doubt one of you smartasses will tell me I’m wrong.
I’m assessing a pottery and one of the buildings (22,000m2!) has AHUs with Reznor gas burners BUT instead of replacing R22 splits (quote £250k!) or getting a chiller they’ve put in evaporative cooling units – CoolBreeze QAD230 (only cost £80k). Good move, but two problems:
1. I’m not aware of any way that evaporative cooling units can be modelled in iSBEM.
2. iSBEM does not recognise an AHU system which does not have a chiller
As a result I can’t see an alternative to entering fanned room heaters and ignoring the AHUs and ducting and the cooling, which means what should be a Level 4 job will be lodged as Level 3.
Go on – tell me I’m wrong.
